SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah Ghost Pirates, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Will Riedell and signed defenseman Will Zmolek for the 2026–27 season.
Riedell, 29, returns to Savannah for his fourth season with the Ghost Pirates after appearing in 58 games last season, recording seven goals and 10 assists. The Greensboro, North Carolina, native has played in 208 career professional games, including 52 in the American Hockey League, totaling 25 goals and 51 assists. Prior to turning professional, Riedell played 171 collegiate games between Lake Superior State University and Ohio State University, recording 20 goals and 41 assists.
Zmolek, 27, joins the Ghost Pirates after spending the past two seasons between the Iowa Heartlanders and the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild. The Rochester, Minnesota, native has appeared in 161 career professional games, including 72 at the AHL level, recording seven goals and 24 assists. Before turning professional, Zmolek played 126 collegiate games at Bemidji State University, totaling nine goals and 37 assists.
With the additions of Riedell and Zmolek, the Ghost Pirates have now signed 15 players for the 2026–27 season.
