SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah Ghost Pirates, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, announced today that goaltender Tyler Muszelik has been reassigned from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers to Savannah.
Muszelik, 22, made his professional debut this past weekend with the Charlotte Checkers, making 20 saves on 23 shots in a loss to the Hershey Bears. The Long Valley, New Jersey, native played collegiately at the University of New Hampshire and the University of Connecticut, appearing in 78 games and posting a 40-27-10 record with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. Muszelik was selected by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round, 189th overall, of the 2022 NHL Draft.
Muszelik also captured a silver medal with the United States at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Savannah plays its lone preseason game of training camp this Friday against the Jacksonville Icemen at Community First Igloo at 7:00 p.m. The Ghost Pirates open the 2026–27 campaign on Friday, October 16, when they host the Norfolk Admirals at Enmarket Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
